Leaving Portland International Jetport:
When leaving the jetport access road, turn RIGHT (this is Route 22);
Follow Route 22, bearing RIGHT as necessary, until you see the Falmouth entrance to I-295 NORTH (this is a mile or so from the jetport);
Take I-295 NORTH toward Brunswick.

From the SOUTH ( from the Portland area):
From Portland, take I-295 NORTH to Brunswick (Brunswick is about 25 miles Northeast of Portland). Take Exit 28 into Brunswick where you will connect with Route 1 NORTH toward Bath and Rockland. The turn onto Route 1 will be a sharp LEFT-hand turn after you have passed through a 'strip' of car dealerships, fast food chains, etc.  This turn is a few hundred yards beyond MacDonald's which you will see on your LEFT;

Take US Route 1 NORTH toward Thomaston and Rockland (50 miles or so from Brunswick). As you leave Thomaston driving NORTH on Route 1, you will see the General Henry Knox Mansion  (Montpelier) on a hill directly ahead;

At the Knox Mansion, take a RIGHT at the traffic light onto Route 131 and drive almost exactly 9 miles. You will see a sign  for Atwood's Lobster Pound on the LEFT shortly followed by Haskell Point Road, a tarred road on the LEFT marked by a typical green municipal street sign;

Turn LEFT onto Haskell Point Road. After you make the turn, you will have a chain-link fence between you and the Wildcat Lobster Pound on your RIGHT, and a huge pile of granite just ahead on your LEFT.

The Emery home (75 Haskell Point Road) is at the very end of the road on the RIGHT.
Carol's mother, Betty Rordam, lives at 40 Haskell Point Road, which is the first home you can see from the road on the LEFT beyond the granite pile.

From the WEST (from the Augusta area):

Take Route 17 from Augusta to Rockland. A short distance after you  cross the Rockport/Rockland town line (Chickawaukee Lake will then be on your left), you will pass part of the Rockland Golf Course (also on your left), and then you will come to a 4-way intersection with a traffic light at the crest of a hill where Old County Road crosses Route 17. There is a convenience store at this intersection on your RIGHT;

At this intersection, take a RIGHT onto Old County Road and follow Old County Road until it ends at Route 1 south of Rockland;

Turn RIGHT onto Route 1, and then  IMMEDIATELY turn LEFT at the traffic light onto Route 131 at the Knox Mansion;

Proceed on  Route 131 almost exactly 9 miles. You will see a sign for Atwood's Lobster Pound on the left shortly followed by Haskell Point Road, a tarred road on the left marked by a typical green municipal street sign;

From the North (from the Bangor area):

Take US Route 1 south toward Rockland. After passing through Camden (which is usually very crowded during the Summer), look for Route 90 on your right. Take a RIGHT onto Route 90 and follow Route 90 to the next major 4-way intersection with a traffic light where Route 17 crosses Route 90;

Take a LEFT onto Route 17 toward Rockland. A short distance after you cross the Rockport/Rockland town line (Chickawaukee Lake will then be on your left), you will pass part of the Rockland Golf Course (also on your left), and then you will come to a 4-way intersection with a traffic light at the crest of a hill where Old County Road crosses Route 17. There is a convenience store at this intersection on your RIGHT;

At this intersection, take a RIGHT onto Old County Road and follow Old County Road until it ends at Route 1 south of Rockland;
Turn RIGHT onto Route 1, and then  IMMEDIATELY turn LEFT at the traffic light onto Route 131 at the Knox Mansion;
